Local Brother in NEED!!

Brothers & Sisters,
 
Local 229 Brother Luke Jarman is battling throat cancer. He is currently undergoing chemotherapy and radiation at the same time making him very sick. He has a feeding tube and cannot speak however he can send text messages. If you would like to contact him via text you can obtain his contact info from the union hall. Send him a message wishing him well, let him know he is in our thoughts and prayers.
 
Your support will go a long way in helping him recover.
 
Luke is also self-paying the full monthly premium to continue his health care coverage, I know he could use financial assistance to be able to maintain his coverage, its very expensive as you all know.
 
Therefore, we are ACCEPTING DONATIONS here at the union hall office on Luke’s behalf. Please consider giving anything you can to assist Luke in these difficult times.
 
It’s a harsh reality that times are very tough for many of our members, many are out of work…and recently members of this local have had their share of tragedies, reminding us all that it could be much worse!!
You have all have stepped up unbelievably to assist other members in need recently, more than anyone could expect, please consider doing it again for Luke if any way possible.
 
The compassion and generosity that you have all demonstrated by supporting brothers and sisters in need has left me with a level of pride to be a part of this organization that is immeasurable.
