IBEW Local 229 Market Share Increases Again!

For the 5th straight year IBEW Local 229 has shown an increase in market share of the electrical construction work performed in the York and Adams county areas for the calender year ending 2010. The reports are a year behind due to the time needed to generate accurate data. 

Many factors are used to calculate market share including the total amount of man hours reported as worked by electricians and the portion of those hours worked by IBEW electricians in any given area. Figures are also based off the total amount of workers employed as electricians and the ratio of those who are members of the IBEW.

Hard work has been the key to making this growth possible. From staff working hard to secure projects, new contractors and members joining our local, and the hard work of all the members everyday on the job. IBEW Local 229 has increased its market share by 14% in the past 10 years!

We are not done yet! Figures are showing that the 2011 report will continue to show our numbers increasing.
